If you want to store your hand stackable or larger items vertically in the least amount of floor space, without having your employees climb stairs or ladders; vertical carousels offer an economical and robust solution. With an abundant availability of standard configurations and modular add-on components your team has access to custom like storage solutions without the added cost or lead times.

There’s an existing vertical storage solution for your: consumable items, such as nuts, bolts, washers, screws, etc.; replacement or maintenance parts; tires; rolls or coils of textiles and wire; print cylinders; garments; and paint cans, to name a few.

Vertical carousels operate by rotating shelves or carriers vertically via a heavy gauge motor driven chain. The chain linked carriers rotate until the desired carrier reaches the user at a standing height delivery window.

In the event of a power outage or system failure, it is possible to rotate the carousel manually by use of a hand drill.

1. Pan Carousel

The Pan Carousel is an automated vertical storage and retrieval solution that provides a high density of inventory storage while occupying a small footprint in your facility.

Typically, these are best utilized for ‘hand stack’ or small consumable type materials, such as, boxed parts or bagged items placed in plastic/metal bins. The Pan Carousels have a maximum height of 28 feet and a depth of either 6 feet or 6 feet 10 inches. Width varies from 8 feet to a maximum of 12 feet 3 inches. The rotating trays or carriers are available in a variety of sizes ranging in dimensions of 12-19 inches in height, 18-24 inches in depth and 72-119 inches in width. A maximum tray/carrier load capacity of 2,500 pounds is available. The Pan Carousel is highly configurable to your storage and operational requirements. Trays/carriers can be sub divided into 2 or 3 tiers in order to store smaller items. Other options and accessories include: a bi-parting security gate, touchscreen PC, pick-to-light system, bar code scanner, shelf kits and dividers, inventory management package and a preventive maintenance package.

2. Shelving Carousel

Similar to the Pan Carousel, the Shelving Carousel is an automated storage and retrieval solution designed to accommodate your industrial storage needs.

The shelving carousel operates in the same manner as the pan carousel, however, the shelving carousel does not have the metal enclosure panels on the front and back of the equipment. It is designed to accommodate items that may not require as much safeguarding afforded by a fully enclosed storage system. The shelving carousel is very reliable and the equipment design requires minimal maintenance. It is available with 6 different carrier sizes, while the carousel itself can range in height from 7 feet 6 inches to 28 feet 8 inches. The carriers are available in 3 different heights, 8.5 inches, 9.75 inches and 18.5 inches. And, available in 4 different depths, including: 7 inches, 13.5 inches, 15 inches, and 20 inches. Widths vary from 8 feet 6 inches to 12 feet 10 inches. And, options and accessories available include: a full enclosure, bar code scanner, intermediate shelf for the carrier/tray, a bar stock configuration and a preventive service package.

3. Tire Carousel

If your facility is looking to store a high volume of tires in the smallest possible footprint possible, the Tire Carousel is a must see option. It offers an incredible storage density for bus, truck, aircraft, equipment and vehicle tire storage in a very safe and reliable configuration. The tire carousel stores tires in high capacity carriers that rotate vertically and deliver the tire to the user at a safe and easily retrievable working height. No need for additional forklift or ladders. The person retrieving the tire stays safely on the ground while the tire carousel does all the work.

Additionally, the tire carousel stores tires on the treads (vertical position) avoiding possible damage to the tire by stacking them horizontally. Military, commercial, and municipal maintenance and repair facilities have used tire carousels to enhance their storage capacity, safety and efficiency. The tire carousel is available in a variety of configurations and can store tires ranging in diameters from 28 inches to 44 inches. The overall height of the tire carousel is available in heights ranging from 13 feet 2 inches to 28 feet 1 inch. Options include: a security gate, tire loading ramp, dividers, full enclosure and preventive maintenance packages.

4. Wire Carousel

The wire carousel is designed to store, retrieve and dispense wire, rope, chain, hoses, and materials stored in reels or spools. Like the tire carousel, the wire carousel offers a complete storage solution for the respective materials in a robust, economical and safety minded design for your facility. Its design is formed directly as a result its function. There’s no simpler method to storing a volume of spooled material as the wire carousel can offer.

The wire carousel can accommodate spooled material up to 30 inches in diameter. Overall, the wire carousel is available in heights from 7 feet 11 inches up to 21 feet 1 inch, widths from 8 feet 9 inches to 8 feet 11 inches, and depths of 5 feet 9 inches to 7 feet 3 inches. Each carrier can accommodate a maximum load of 1,000 pounds. Options and accessories include: a wire loading dolly, spinner spool(stores small wire reels in a single wire bay), heavy duty reel dispenser, a cut/measure/re-roll tracked system mounted to the face of the carousel or separately as a cart, and a preventive maintenance package.

5. Textile Carousel

Another fine example of a tailor made automated storage and retrieval solution. The textile carousel is designed to store and retrieve rolled goods, including woven, non-woven, knotted, synthetic, netting and technical fabric materials. If your facility has high ceilings, we can help you make better use of your storage cube by storing your textile rolls vertically. The carousel rotates your textile spool to the user at a working height- where they can roll out the desired length of material on an optional cutting table, cut and then repeat as needed. All done without the manual handling of the heavy and cumbersome spools. It is a high density automated storage, retrieval and issue platform all in one.

The textile carousel can accommodate a maximum roll width of 180 inches and diameters between 6” to a maximum of 44 inches. Overall the textile carousel is available in heights from 7 feet 6 inches to 30 feet, depths from 2 feet 8 inches to 7 feet 5 inches and a maximum overall width of 17 feet 7 inches. Options and Accessories include: transport dollies, barcode scanners, a variety of collars and cones to accommodate your operations, a multitude of configuration options that can increase capacity of stored rolled goods, and preventive maintenance packages.
